Depositing cheque into business account

Hi can a cheque be deposited into a bankwest business account through austpost? I attempted to deposit at a post office and my card would not be accepted and I was advised by the post office teller that as its a business it cant be deposited, can someone confirm if this is the case?

Thanks for your question @JTS.

 

You can deposit cheques into business accounts however these deposits will only be accepted at selected sites, and you need your deposit book (it can't be done using your card). Please use this link to locate your closest Bank@Post office that will accept your cheque. If you find the outlet you visited should have accepted it but didn't, please let me know so I can follow this up for you.
